Triangulating Behind a Redacted Record
When a current registrant cannot be identified directly, attribution relies on triangulating multiple independent signals: historical WHOIS predating redaction, hosting and IP infrastructure shared with other identifiable domains, analytics and advertising IDs embedded in site code, payment and business registration details surfaced on the site itself, and stylistic or structural similarities to other known properties.
Corroboration, Not Conjecture
No single signal is treated as conclusive on its own. Attribution findings are built from multiple independent, corroborating sources, and the report states plainly where the evidence supports a confident identification versus a reasonable inference — a distinction that matters a great deal once the finding is tested under cross-examination.
